A software tutorial may need a script, screen recording, narration and editing, but that does not mean you need four new subscriptions. Identify the production step taking the most effort and test a tool for that step. This guide uses product documentation rather than firsthand comparative quality measurements.
Choose by the output you need
Investigate HeyGen when you need a virtual presenter, Descript when you already have a recording to edit through text, and ElevenLabs when your visuals need narration. These address different jobs. A good voice does not fix editing rhythm, and an avatar does not replace a useful product demonstration.

Test an actual introduction. Inspect expression, lip movement and product-name pronunciation. If the content teaches software, keep most of the demonstration grounded in the real interface so viewers can follow.
Descript: work with an existing recording
Descript offers text-based audio and video editing, captions and screen recording. Source: Descript.
This is worth investigating if you prefer editing a discussion through its words. Test names and English terms in Vietnamese speech. Check whether deleting a sentence removes natural breathing or an important visual.
ElevenLabs: narration for prepared visuals

For a SaaS demo, prepare the screen sequence and write narration that follows the actions. Separate segments make it easier to replace one sentence. Test terminology such as AI Agent and Research.
A small test before subscribing
- Prepare one script with an introduction, demonstration and conclusion.
- Measure time to a usable export, including corrections.
- Watch on a phone to check captions, volume and interface legibility.
- Read current limits, watermarks, export quality and commercial-use terms.
- Upgrade the step that actually constrains your output.
A difficult sample reveals more about manual work than the vendor's most polished demo.
Do you need all three?
Not necessarily. Screen-recorded tutorials may need only a recording tool and a suitable narration method. Add avatars or a new editor when they solve a defined problem. If Vietnamese narration is the challenge, read the AI voice testing guide.
