You can do affiliate marketing without a website when both the program and the publishing channel permit it. You still need relevant original content and a clear commission disclosure; a social account is not automatically accepted by every merchant.
Four channels and suitable formats
| Channel | Useful content experiment | What to manage |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook or other social posts | One problem, one demo, one conclusion | Group rules and post editing |
| Tutorial videos | Screen workflow and output explanation | Description links and media permissions |
| Newsletter | A focused lesson for subscribers | Permission to email and clear links |
| Professional community | A detailed answer to a relevant question | Only link where community rules allow it |
You do not need all four. Start with video if you explain a screen workflow well. A newsletter or longer post may be better when the audience’s questions require detail that a short clip cannot cover.
What could a useful Facebook post show?
Try a topic such as turning a spoken idea containing English software names into an editable brief. Show the input, the resulting text and three corrections. A Typeless example becomes more useful when it explains what to review before sending the draft rather than simply praising the app.
Place a clear note near the destination: “Referral link: I may earn a commission if you register or purchase through it.” This is a suggested format. Only describe an experiment as your own experience when you actually performed it.
Use recordings to explain a complete workflow
A Clipto tutorial could start with a recording you are allowed to use, compare the transcript against the audio, then select a passage for an article. Include unclear speech and explain the correction process. Do not publish confidential meetings or customer data as demonstration material.
For an audience publishing podcasts, Castos provides a different research direction. Build the content around releasing an episode and the preparation required. A podcast-hosting recommendation would be less relevant in a post exclusively about typing short messages.
Check channel permissions and measure each post
Typeless allows content promotion such as social posts but excludes affiliate links in paid advertising. Castos also prohibits paid traffic. Permission to publish organically therefore does not imply permission to boost the same post.
Keep a simple record of channel, topic, publication date, exact link and dashboard results. Use sub-IDs only when the program supports them, and preserve the referral identifier. Consider a website later when you have enough useful material that readers need a searchable library.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put links in comments?
Only when relevant and permitted by the community. Repeated link-dropping is not a substitute for useful content.
Do I need many followers?
There is no universal threshold across programs. A small, relevant audience can still provide a starting point for content research.
Should the link go in the post or comments?
Prioritize channel rules and discoverability. This guide does not claim a universal algorithm advantage for either placement; test with your audience.
